About Online Candidate
Our story
In 2003, a friend of ours ran for office. She was an underdog in the campaign and needed all the help she could get.
We decided the best way to help was to build her a campaign website. The site was successful and had a large impact on the campaign. It helped raise issue awareness, it came up for web searches on our opponent’s name, and it forced our opponent to spend (lots of) money on a competing site.
In the end, our candidate won!
The success gave us the idea of using our web skills to help other local candidates. Most local campaign organizations don’t have a lot of money, so Online Candidate was envisioned as a solution to allow campaigns and organizations to easily build out and manage their own campaign website. Today our platform helps hundreds of candidates every election cycle.
In 2017, we began offering WordPress websites.

Carol Daley has a long track record of fulfilling clients’ marketing needs. With over 18 years experience in print and web design, she customizes the templates of each and every campaign website.

Shane Daley has over a 15 years experience as a web developer, with a focus on search engine optimization and online marketing. He developed and maintains the Online Candidate content management system.
He also maintains the websites and does online marketing consulting for clients.
